Disney Dream Honeymoon Part 2

Disney Dream Honeymoon Part 2

I’m recapping my dream Disney honeymoon through this blog series! To start from the beginning, check out part 1 here! Day 4- Magic Kingdom I will be honest with you- I am a Disneyland SNOB. I was an annual passholder for 5 years and so the classic Disneyland park is my metric I compare every other Disney park against. Therefore, I’m usually pretty critical of Magic Kingdom because it feels like a much lighter version of Disneyland to me, without a lot of the classic rides. So I was hesitant going to Magic Kingdom this time because it definitely underwhelmed […]

Little White Lies (Debutantes #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes | Review

Debutantes, high Southern society, and a mystery are all right up my alley when it comes to premises for YA novels, so I was so looking forward to Little White Lies which gave me major Pretty Little Liars vibes. Jennifer Lynn Barnes did not disappoint, with a YA novel that focused on strong female characters, high society scandals and some serious twists at the end! Plot Like any good YA mystery book, Little White Lies has a somewhat absurd (in the best way) premise. Sawyer, independent daughter of a flaky single mom living above a bar and working as an […]

December 2019 Month in Review

Better late than never, am I right? I haven’t done a monthly recap since January 2019 so it seems fitting to finish out the year with one since I started with one, lol. I’m hoping to become a LOT more consistent with these since my life should calm down QUITE A BIT in 2020 and my bestie Lauren taught me a much easier method for making photo collages 😉 This holiday season was a whirlwind since we moved into our new home shortly before Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving was also pretty late this year, Christmas really snuck up on us! We […]

Permanent Record by Mary H.K. Choi | Review

Permanent Record by Mary H.K. Choi | Review

I apparently missed the wagon on Emergency Contact because I still haven’t gotten around to reading Mary H.K.Choi’s debut (oops) but I saw so many bloggers flailing about the gorgeous dust jacket for Permanent Record that I decided to request it from my library via Overdrive to see what all the fuss was about. It turns out that Mark H.K. Choi can write a great New Adult novel and I really enjoyed this slice-of-not-so-ordinary-life novel. I am a huge fan of books that have regular protagonists who somehow end up dating celebrities/royals/etc (I just find the premise so improbable and […]

Exploring the World of Bullet Journaling: 2020 Reading Bujo [2]

It’s been a while since I did a check in on my bullet journaling life! What a better time to dive back in than to share my bookish spreads for 2020! This year I’m focusing on annual spreads (at least so far) since I have SEVERAL other daily planners at this time. However, I did use some daily trackers last fall and enjoyed them so we’ll see if the urge to start them again in my bujo strikes me! Annual Books Read Graph and Daily Reading Calendar My first spread was pretty much exactly the same as the one I […]

The Map From Here to There by Emery Lord | ARC Review

I’ll admit, I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Start of Me and You. It was OK, but I felt like there was something I wasn’t getting from the story that everyone else was. However, the hype around The Map From Here to There was so tangible that I felt like I had to give it a shot, especially since contemporary YA stories that wrap up so neatly usually aren’t revisited by the author. I was pleasantly surprised to find that The Map From Here to There not only surpassed my expectations but provided one of the most sincere and […]

2020 Reading Challenges!

2020 Reading Challenges!

Another year, another blank slate! Every year I start out with the best intentions for challenges, but over time I have learned it’s not realistic for me to participate in too many, as I lose track of them through the year. I always do the Goodreads challenge, but this year have decided to add two more challenges to my plate as well! Goodreads Annual Challenge So I’m apparently feeling super ambitious this year and under the impression I can read 100 books in 2020? I think the most I’ve ever read in one year is 82 so we’ll see how […]

2020 Releases I’m Most Anticipating! (First Half)

2020 Releases I’m Most Anticipating! (First Half)

One of my FAVORITE posts to write and read are posts highlighting new upcoming releases! I know I say this EVERY YEAR but this upcoming year looks like it’s going to have some phenomenal new releases- which is amazing and a testament to how large and diverse the book community is becoming! For 2020, there are actually quite a few adult books that are making my list along with YA, which I hope also helps me keep my reading momentum up, as I find switching up genre and target audience for books can help me from getting into a slump. […]

Monthly TBR Plan: January 2020

I’ve made a lot of reading resolutions, and one of them is to be better about cultivating a monthly TBR. I know so many bloggers do beginning of the month TBR posts and I always LOVE reading them, so I’ve decided to post my own as well! I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR. Reading Progress Prior To This Month: 0/100* Books Read *Wish me luck as I try to read more books in 2020 than ever before! January, the month […]

2019 End of Year Bookish Stats

Welcome to 2020, everyone, where the first week of January is inevitably filled with many, many stats posts that are super fun to read for super Type-A folks like myself (does anyone else find color coordinating graphs soothing)? While 2019 was not my proudest reading year because life seriously happened, I did manage to read 51 books amidst all of the craziness and am excited to share the stats with you all! Target Audience: My stats for Target Audience stayed very similar to last year’s, which I find very interesting! The only difference is I read some books that I […]
