I am a long time fan of Chanel Cleeton. Several years ago I read her first Cuban historical fiction novel and I was hooked! I’ve read all of her historical novels since and most land firmly in the four and five star realm for me. I think this book has single-handedly restored my faith in contemporary romance. Seriously! The past year or two I’ve stayed away from most contemporary romance because I just felt bored by it and found it hard to get invested in the characters, especially since many are stand-alones or if they are series follow a different couple each book.
