2019 Bookish Organizational Plans

I have to admit, as a book blogger the beginning of a new year is so exciting. I love setting up my new planners, setting up my new spreadsheets, getting my TBR ready for the year ahead, and just overall feeling fresh and rejuvenated and ready to tackle another year full of books! Over the years I’ve tried several different organizational methods and feel like I’ve finally found a good combination that works for me. See below for more information on the resources I’ll be using to keep my reading and blogging organized in 2019! (If you want to check […]

How I Track My TBR & Reading Habits

One thing I am always fascinated with is how people track their TBRs. In their heads? With a physical pile? Using Goodreads? Before blogging I never really worried about it, but now as a blogger juggling a posting schedule/review copies/etc., I’ve found that I wanted a more cohesive systems over the past few years. Giveaways for ARCs appear everywhere. With BEA recently happening and ALA on the horizon, the book blogging community is abuzz with people grabbing much anticipated titles months before they’re published. ARCs are everywhere. Personally, I love seeing ARCs so prevalently featured on my fellow blogger’s social media platforms because it makes me more aware of new titles, gives me insight on what to read and what to skip, and […]

Moving to Self-Hosted: Everything You Wanted to Know About My Experience

I did it! On April 21, 2015, I moved my book blog, Girl in the Pages, from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress.org site. This came after months of research, weeks of talking to other bloggers about their experiences moving, and a lot of internal debate. While I was making the decision to move, I scoured book blogs high and low for information about how the transition worked, what to expect, etc. I decided to make a post sharing my experience and answer all of the questions that I knew I was anxious to ask while I was going through the […]
