I always LOVE making and reading upcoming releases lists at the beginning of each year, and 2022 in particular I’ve found SO MANY titles I’m excited for (my 2022 Releases shelf on Goodreads has 100+ books already!) I definitely see that I’m moving away from YA titles as my “most anticipated” books, and leaning more into romance and women’s fiction. I’m really excited for these titles and honestly a lot more too!
Running Wild | January 25th | I am OBSESSED with K.A.Tucker’s The Simple Wild series, and I can’t wait to read this spin-off focusing on one of the secondary characters. These books have such a unique Alaskan setting, I highly recommend!
Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead | February 1st | The first book in this series was really and truly hilarious- a single mom doing the best she can who gets embroiled in a murder mystery- and I can’t wait for more laugh out loud moments in this sequel.
House of Sky & Breath | February 15th | Not much to say here except I am Sarah J Maas trash *shrugs* I feel like it’s been forever since the first book in this series, I may need to read some recaps before diving into this one!
The Rumor Game | March 1st | I am so excited that the author duo behind the Tiny, Pretty Things duology is back at it again with another gritty mystery!
One Italian Summer | March 1st | Love that this one takes place on the Italian coast (I need all of the travel books this summer since RIP to any international plans I may have had the past few years because of COVID and probably RIP to any future plans for a while too…) However, the first book I read by this author had QUITE the emotional twist that I was not a fan of, so I’ll admit I am a little wary…
Always Jane | March 29th | Jenn Bennett is one of the few authors who writes teen romances that still interest me, and always has unique premises for her stories.
The No-Show | April 12th | The first thing the synopsis for this story reminds me of is John Tucker Must Die lol but I’m sure it will be much more nuanced than that!
Book Lovers | May 3rd | Emily Henry has been killing it the past few years with her romances, and I’m excited to read her newest one that has a strong bookish premise!
Something Wilder | May 17th | I love a good Christina Lauren romance novel, but admit the past few have been hit or miss for me. However, still very excited whenever they announce a new title!
Did any of these make your most anticipated list for 2022? Let me know in the comments!
