One of my FAVORITE posts to write and read are posts highlighting new upcoming releases! Hopefully 2021 brings us less drama, more consistency with release dates, and overall GREAT books! I’ve rounded up my top 8 releases that are coming out between January-June of 2021 that I am the most excited for!
I’m also linking up with Top Ten Tuesday for today’s post!
You Have a Match (January) | I don’t think anyone who’s read Tweet Cute can deny that Emma Lord is a wonderful addition to the YA author line up, and I’m thrilled to have an ARC of her upcoming release! While the premise of this one is definitely different from her debut, I’m crossing my fingers for more amazing food and dessert descriptions!
The Project (February) | This one is cheating a bit because I snuck this one in as one of my last reads of 2020, but it’s so well written and definitely another excellent thriller by Courtney Summers.
A Court of Silver Flames (February) | It’s no secret that I am ACOTAR trash and I am SO excited to get a novel about Nessian!
Chain of Iron (March) | My favorite Cassie Clare Shadowhunter novels are always the historical fiction ones and I’ve so far loved The Last Hours and getting to revisit my faves from TMI while still getting a fresh story of a new generation of Shadowhunters!
Good Girl, Bad Blood (April) | I think this technically released in 2020 in the UK but comes out in 2021 in the US. I adored the first book in this series and I am thrilled to see what the author does next!
Luck of the Titanic (May) | Stacey Lee is truly a queen of historical fiction and I’m super interested to see what she does with a Titanic setting! Although I’ll admit I am a little nervous because I’ve never actually watched the film (I know, but I hate seeing characters die on sinking ships in movies/shows!)
The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba (May) | I adore Chanel Cleeton’s Cuban historical fiction novels (and I always learn so much from them!) This one still centers on Perez family members (the family that’s mentioned throughout all of the books in her companion series) as well as new characters and historical figures.
The Soulmate Equation (May) | It’s CLo, what more is there to say? Also, intrigued that the protagonist in this one is a mother, I like that they are expanding their romances to women who aren’t just young and single.
Are any of these on your most highly anticipated list for 2021?
I very rarely read fantasy but even so I am hooked on the ACOTAR series. The wait for ACOSF has been so long! I’m also excited for The Soulmate Equation.
The ACOTAR series is my favorite fantasy series of all time! I’m really hoping ACOSAF brings back the magic- I’ll admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of ACOWAR (and just how the whole war wrapped up) but I think a fresh perspective in the ACOTAR universe will be great!
So excited for a few of these! Definitely most anticipating You Have a Match and ACOSF, but Soulmate Equation has also peaked my interest – seems so different compared to CLo’s other books.
It does, doesn’t it! I’m excited to see them take their stories in a slightly different direction- I love their books but will be great to see something a bit fresh brought to their stories!
I’m SO looking forward to You Have a Match and A Court of Silver Flames!!
ACOSAF can’t come soon enough! I admit though, I am struggling about what to do with the cover change!
I loved YOU HAVE A MATCH! Couldn’t resist reading the egalley super early haha. Did I already ask if you want to borrow my copy of GOOD GIRL BAD BLOOD? I bought the UK version because I was impatient. (Def understand if you want to wait for the US version since it takes place there haha but text me!) and oh my god I straight up keep forgetting there’s a new ACOTAR book coming!!!! WOOPS
I am so glad to hear that you loved it because I’m 30ish percent in and while I’m enjoying it, it doesn’t have the same magic as TWEET CUTE for me yet…and I’m honestly struggling a bit to like the characters lol.
You Have a Match was such a sweet read! I haven’t read anything by Courtney Summers yet, but The Project sounds so good.
Her books are SO good and honestly I think very underrated! I would recommend checking out SADIE by her as well!
