June 2020 TBR

Posted June 3, 2020 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Features, TBR / 4 Comments

I’ve made a lot of reading resolutions, and one of them is to be better about cultivating a monthly TBR. I know so many bloggers do beginning of the month TBR posts and I always LOVE reading them, so I’ve decided to post my own as well! I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR.

Reading Progress Prior To This Month: 33/100* Books Read

*Wish me luck as I try to read more books in 2020 than ever before!

Can we all just collectively freak out that it’s already JUNE?! As in, halfway through the year?! As in, I am chronically 7 books behind on my reading challenge (heh…). While this summer is definitely not what I planned, I’m hoping to use some of my extra “free” time getting in some reading, and I have plenty of library books and review copies to get me through the start of my favorite season. I’m keeping my “planned” TBR short this month because I have been prone to mood reading lately and want to leave time for books I feel like picking up on a whim and some rereads.

For Review

A Sweet Mess // I’ve really been enjoying romances lately and I’m LOVING the illustrated cover trend. I am also a total fan of books about food so I have high hopes for this one!

The Mall // Lauren put this one on my radar so I had to request it from NetGalley. I’m somewhat horrified that the 90s are considered historical fiction at this point but also excited to see how it’s portrayed now to readers.

Girl, Serpent, Thorn // I’ve been trying to read more fantasy the past few years and this one seem like it’s going to be a lush, beautiful fairy tale. I’m excited to be participating in the blog tour for this one!

Girl, Unframed // One of the greatest gifts 2018 gave me was the book A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti, and I’m ecstatic to read her new book (and it’s set in San Francisco!)

The Tourist Attraction // I don’t think I’ve read a book set in Alaska before (if so, it’s been a LONG time and certainly not as an adult) so I’m really excited to dive into a romance novel with this unique setting!

Beach Read // I’ve been seeing this book EVERYWHERE and have seen nothing but rave review so I’m thrilled my library hold came in so I can kick off my summer reading with it!

Are any of these books on your TBR for June? Let me know in the comments!
