Sunday Funday is a weekly(ish) post I’ve started to recap the bookish (and sometimes not-so-bookish) happenings in my life the past week! Feel free to participate, just link back!
August 18 -August 24, 2014
This week I was mainly focused on participating in the Bout of Books read-a-thon, so most of my time was split between the library and home. Saturday I did take a break from reading and had a really great day with my Dad, as we took a day trip to visit my little brother at college and see his brand new dorm (which is actually a gorgeous on-campus town home, lucky!) and I walked around his campus *pretending* I was still a college student.
I also hit 200+ followers this week and I just want to shout out to all of you guys that I’m so thankful that you all take the time to read about my book passion! I know Bout of Books introduced me to a lot of great new blogs this week and the book blogging community has continued to impress me by how welcoming and friendly it is, so thank you!
I participated in my first read-a-thon this week (well, I’m still paricipating, I have about 7 hours left!) and I really enjoyed it, it really helped me to get through my stack of library books. So far I’ve met my major goal of reading three books and still have a novella to read.

I also added two books to my shelves this week that I’ve REALLY been wanting to read, although I haven’t picked them up yet because I have a rule that I have to read my library books before I can read my OWN books.
What Happened Here This Week:
Monday: I review the eerie Paper Valentine & launched my Bout of Books update post.
Tuesday: Top Ten Books People Have Been Telling Me I MUST Read!
Wednesday: I review Rainbow Rowell’s first novel, Attachments.
Thursday: I talk a little more about myself through the 55 Bookish Questions Survey.
Friday: I fangirl about my new fairytale retelling, Cruel Beauty.
Saturday: Stacking the Shelves with two new purchases!
Bookish Posts I Enjoyed:
Becky at Blogs of a Bookaholic talked about the ten stages of bookshelf reorganization.
Falling Down the Bookhole and The Loony Teen Writer both did bookshelf tours!
I like the way you break down your posts into the days of the week. That’s a good idea. 🙂 Also, congrats on 200 followers!
Thanks! It helps to keep my posts organized, so I try to have something different going up every day!
I made the Sunday Funday!!!!! YAAAAYYYYY, I feel like a celebrity or something. 😛
Congrats on reaching the 200 followers milestone, you deserve it! You have a great blog and I always get excited when I see new post from you.
Haha I’m glad you liked my shout out (your post on bookshelf reorganization was just too funny)! And thank you for following me since I was much smaller! 🙂
