Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!
Well, it’s about 4am my time and I’ve been up all night finishing The Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot (it’s SO good you guys), so I figured why not get my STS post up while I’m at it?
Bought:
I was recommended this after finishing The Wrong Side of Right which I adored for it’s political aspects (I hear the mom’s a senator in this one). I also got it for a great price ($6 for the paperback) and it looks like a cute read for summer!
Borrowed:
I’ve fallen a bit behind on the Reading My Library Challenge due to fulfilling ARC obligations, but my copy of this one just came in from the library and I’m excited to give another Lauren Oliver book a try!
What did you add to your shelves this week? Link me to your posts in the comments!
I keep meaning to get around to reading Vanishing Girls, but I haven’t liked a lot of Lauren Oliver’s recent releases. I shall look out for your review! I hope you enjoy your new books!
I didn’t have much luck with her Delirium series, and I heard Panic sort of fell flat. However, I do love a good thriller so I’m willing to give this one a shot!
Two great looking books this week! Happy Reading and have a great weekend, I hope you’ve rested up after your late night reading session.
Thank you! I’m actually quite tired still (but it’s my own fault) but at least it’s the weekend!
I also grabbed Vanishing Girls from the library! I got it late yesterday so it’s not a part of my haul. But I’m very intrigued by it, and I know that Lauren Oliver’s writing is absolutely beautiful.
I think the premise sounds really interesting. I love thrillers so I’m hoping this one is good! I wish there were more YA thrillers in general, like Abigail Haas’ work!
If you like Abigail Haas, I definitely recommend Black Iris by Leah Raeder. It’s New Adult, but it has a lot of the same elements like a twisted plot and twisted girls. If you haven’t read it yet, you should check it out. 😀
Thanks for the suggestion!
Great haul! I’ve wanted to check out both of these for a while now. I absolutely love Lauren Oliver’s writing style too! I hope you enjoy everything. 🙂

I’m really hoping this thriller-type book will work for me, I really want to love something by her and I saw her at yallwest and she seemed so nice!

Thank you so much! 🙂
Two books that I have heard absolutely WONDERFUL things about! I really want to pick up Vanishing Girls soon; it sounds super exciting.

I’m hoping it lives up to it’s categorization as a “thriller!” Thanks for stopping by my new site! 🙂
