Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the fantastic blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is looking ahead to my most coveted releases of within the first 6 months of 2016. I love TTT topics like this because I gather so many ideas (and add so much to my TBR!) from reading what others are excited about! In order of release month, here are my most anticipated reads being released in the first half of 2016!
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken- January
I cannot even with how excited I am for this one. Max pre-ordered it for me for my birthday next week, so I happily know it’s coming my way!
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard- January
I am lucky enough to know that Max ALSO preordered this for my birthday next week, so I’m going to be set with awesome reads for January!
Remembrance by Meg Cabot- February
If there’s one that I’m excited about the most, it’s this one. I was so happy with how Royal Wedding came out that I can’t wait for the adult installment in the Mediator series!
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare- March
I will read anything that Cassandra Clare writes about Shadowhunters. Also, that cover.
The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski- March
I admit this book is primarily making it on here because it has been announced that they WILL be keeping this cover for the hardback release. #priorities
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater- April
I still have to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue, but I already know this one is going to be fantastic, and again, that cover.
The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead- April
Put glitter in the title and I am ALL over it. Also, I really need to read something by Richelle Mead!
The Crown by Kiera Cass- May
I’m surprised to admit that I adored The Heir much more than I anticipated. I really want to know who Eadlyn will pick!
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas- May
Ok I lied, THIS is the book I am most excited for for 2016. I NEED MORE TAMLIN IN MY LIFE.
Summer Days and Summer Nights, edited by Stephanie Perkins- June
I adored the winter anthology My True Love Gave to Me, and I’m excited to see another YA anthology released!
I’m so looking forward to Remembrance! I’m also really curious about Passenger now that I’ve seen SO many positive reviews for it. Hopefully it will live up to the hype!
I am honestly secretly terrified that it won’t, simply because the hype has been EXTRAORDINARY and the cover is FLAWLESS. It’s my first Bracken read too so I’m really going into it with a blank slate!
I have THE RAVEN KING on my list, too. I am so excited about it yet worried too. What will happen to Ganzey?
My TTT most anticipated books
Ah I still need to get around to reading Blue Lily, Lily Blue before it is released!
YES to Truthwitch!
Passenger and Truthwitch are so popular this week! I don’t know much about Passenger, but I must check it out! 🙂
I’ve heard a lot of great things about it so far! And I haven’t read anything by Alex Bracken yet so that adds to the excitement!
How in hell did I not hear about The Glittering Court until today?? I LOVE Richelle Mead’s novels, and this one sounds super-good. Also, I totally agree with you about glitter. The Raven King is my most awaited release for 2016, without doubt. Is it too much to ask for ALL OF THEM to get their happily ever afters? I’m really, really excited for Summer Days and Summer Nights! Like you, I really enjoyed My True Love Gave to Me, and I’m hoping this will be an even better anthology.
Wonderful picks! 🙂
I definitely feel like I haven’t seen the Glittering Court hyped up very much, I just happened across it a while ago and the name has stuck with me ever since! I haven’t read anything by Richelle Mead yet although I own two of her books (Soundless and the first Vampire Academy novel) but this one looks right up my alley! Thanks for stopping by!
I really can’t wait for Lady Midnight and Summer Days and Summer Nights! I hope they won’t dissapoint!
I’ve yet to come across a Cassandra Clare novel that disappoints, so I think it’s safe to say Lady Midnight will be good! I’m also in love with the cover!
So, so many of these made my list too! I can NOT wait to read all of these book. 2016 will be an amazing year for books. This is one of my favorite 10s!
I know I’m always excited about releases for the upcoming year, but I have to agree with you that 2016 does look exceptionally excellent!
Lady Midnight is definitely on my list!! I desperately need more Shadowhunter action in my life haha 🙂 Great list!
Thank you, Holly! I agree it has been far too long since I read a book about Shadowhunters!
We definitely share The Raven King, ACOMaF and Passenger! Gah! So many amazing books and sequels coming up in 2016 😀 I still need to read Winner’s Curse but I will in ’16! The Glittering Court sounds/looks great too! Awesome pick^^ and Happy New Year 🙂
I think 2016 is most definitely the year of sequels. It also seems to be the year of amazing covers! I cannot WAIT for the cover of ACoMaF to come out!
I’m so happy to see Passenger, Truthwitch & A Court of Mist and Fury on this list! I read and loved the first two (and I’m planning to reread Truthwitch this week!), and I’m super excited for the next installment of the ACOTAR series 🙂
I’m glad to hear you loved Passenger and Truthwitch! I will be seeing Alex Bracken and Susan Dennard in January and I am hoping to get to their novels before then!
The Raven King and A Court of Mist and Fury were both on my list this week too!
Both are series that I will need to refresh myself on before the next books come out, because I want to make sure I don’t miss anything!
SO many books I’m looking forward to as well on your list! I forgot to add the new Stephanie Perkins collection on mine, but I’m excited for that too. I loved My True Love Gave to Me. 🙂
I’m really a fan of this YA anthology trend, it really gives me a chance to try out new authors who I haven’t had a chance to read yet!
Great list! I’d quite like to read Passenger, too, and I definitely want to check out Summer Days and Summer Nights – I really liked My True Love Gave to Me. 🙂
I’m excited that Summer Days and Summer Nights has mostly different authors than MTLGTM!
I’m a little apprehensive about Truthwitch. I’ve heard really good things and not so good things. I am curious enough that I want to check it out for myself though. Yes, The Winner’s Kiss will have the original cover, I could not be more happy. Hope you have a happy New Year!
My TTT
I feel like Truthwitch will be hit or miss for me too. I either tend to really get into or really dislike high fantasy, but witches are a supernatural creature that I really love reading about. Have a happy and wonderful New Year as well, Alicia!
Your first 5 are definitely on my top TBR list! I already thought Truthwitch was out given the hype on twitter but I’m really curious to see it!
I was lucky enough to read Passenger early and I really enjoyed it so you’ll have some great reading early next year 😉
Ah, I have literally heard nothing but good things about Passenger! I’m so excited to have it in my hands next week 🙂
There are just so many exciting new books coming out next year, I can’t handle it! A Court of Mist and Fury and The Raven King are definitely my most anticipated releases. YES to more Tamlin! 😀 Ahh, and The Winner’s Kiss – I can’t wait for that one either. I need all of these in my hands right now!! Great list, Cristina!
I’m so glad they are releasing The Winner’s Kiss in the original cover, as I probably wouldn’t have invested in the hardback had it not matched my preexisting covers (I’m OCD like that). However, it is one I’m really anticipating as the second book ended on SUCH a cliffhanger! Thanks for stopping by, Karin 🙂
