Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly feature hosted by the fantastic blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten Books That Recently Came Into Your posession (bought/borrowed/library/etc). Since I just attended ALA a TON of books have come into my possession, so I’ll cover the ones I’ve received since then and the last ones I received at ALA time-frame wise (so Sunday afternoon). My list will also include recent pre-orders!
1) Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge- I LOVED this book when I got it from the library last summer, so when I saw it on Amazon for $5 last week I had to get it!
2) The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick- After recently finished My Life Next Door, I had to pre-order this one!
3) Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins- Pre-ordered the paperback of this a few days ago when I saw it for $5 on Amazon! My copies of Anna and Lola are paperback so I had to wait so my copies could match!
4) Devoted by Jennifer Mathieu- I won this in a giveaway by Brittany @ The Book Addict’s Guide! SO looking forward to reading about how the topic of religion is handled!
5 & 6) Love & Other Theories and What’s Broken Between Us by Alexis Bass- The last author signing of ALA that I was able to attend! (Thanks to HarperCollins!)
7) Tiny Pretty Things by Sonia Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton- One of the last auhtor signings I attended at ALA on Sunday! Thanks to HarperCollins!
8) Under a Painted Sky by Stacey Lee- I actually stumbled across this one on accident at ALA on Sunday afternoon at Penguin’s booth and was thrilled to see that the author was signing copies!
9) White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L Armentrout- The lovely ladies at the Harlequin booth gave me a copy of this one! I’ve been wanting to start this series for a while now!
10) None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio- One of my most anticipated signings for Sunday afternoon, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this soooo badly (I actually requested and checked it out from the library but had to return it because of DUE DATES). I was doing a happy dance when I found out there would be a signing for this one and the author was so nice! (We bonded over my hometown, which she visits often because she has family there!)
What’s your favorite book that’s come into your possession most recently? Let me know in the comments!
I have a copy of None of The Above that I’m really looking forward to reading! Hopefully we both enjoy it! 🙂 I hope you enjoy all of these books! 😀
I’ve heard it’s a fantastic read! I’m really excited to get to it!
Love Isla – That was my favorite in the series. I really want to read Devoted and None of the Above – Hope you enjoy them all!!
I keep hearing Isla is great, and I’m excited because Lola left me a bit disappointed after the amazing-ness of Anna!
I haven’t read any of these, although Isla and the Happily Ever After has been on my list since it was first released. I really enjoyed the other two books in that series (they’re sooo adorable!) so I really need to read the third one soon!
Adorable is the perfect word to describe Stephanie Perkin’s writing! I loved Anna and had mixed feelings about Lola (though I liked her as a character!)
I loved Cruel Beauty, and I am so eager to pick up a Stephanie Perkins book. I hear nothing but great things. Happy readings 🙂
Stephanie Perkin’s books are adorable, if you like (fluffy) contemporary you will surely enjoy her books!
Devoted and None of the Above are two of my top reads for the year so far! I hope you enjoy them! Happy reading. 🙂
I’m so excited for BOTH of these and to see how they handle such controversial issues!
I hope you Enjoy Isla! Totally with you on having to wait for books to match. So many awesome choices, I hope you enjoy them all!
My TTT
I’ve heard Isla is the best in the series from a LOT of people, so hoping I enjoy it as well!
I NEEEEED The Boy Most Likely!!! SO EXCITED TO READ THAT ONE!!!! I hope you enjoy all of these! 🙂 Here’s my TTT!
Right? I adore Huntley’s writing and I’m really interested to read more about Tim! Plus excited for Sam and Jase cameos!
Isla is so worth the wait! It’s my favourite of the three. Great haul, happy reading 🙂
I’ve heard that from a lot of people, and I’m excited since I was a little let down by Lola. I’m excited to head back to Europe for the setting of Isla!
Devoted and None of the Above are both so good. Happy reading!
I’m excited to read both of them, and see how they handle such controversial topics!
Isla is the one one of those I’ve read. You’re in for a treat!
Would you say it’s your favorite of the three in the series?
Some interesting looking books on there. Isla is a lot of fun. 🙂
Great list! Haha, it’s good to know I’m not the only one who’ll wait for the editions that match the books I already own. 😉 My favourite recent acquisition would have to be the lovely edition of Frenchman’s Creek I treated myself to!
I don’t ALWAYS wait but then again if I have all of them in a certain format except one I’ll tend to hold out for the matching set, especially when I know I have SO many other books to read in the meantime!
