Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!
Christmas brought a few books I’ve really been eyeing as well as some fun surprises!
The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult was a gift from my mom, as she remembered I used to be an avid Jodi fan back in high school and she came across this title and thought of me, which I thought was sweet. She also picked up I Am Pusheen the Cat (a fun surprise! I love Pusheen!) from a little boutique. Blue Lily, Lily Blue was a “gift” from my cats. I can’t wait to read it; I’ve heard nothing but good things about it!
The special edition of Eleanor & Park was a Christmas gift to myself! I was in Barnes and Noble picking up a last minute gift the day before Christmas Eve and saw they had a handful of signed copies, with beautiful fan art inside. I broke down and not only bought it but signed up for a Barnes and Noble Membership (which I’ve thought about for years but never done…but I always see signed copies in store that I want!) I hope everyone reading this had a wonderful holiday this past week and that you received some books of your own! I was lucky enough to get a few giftcards to bookstores that I can use to pick up some books I’ve had my eye on, as well as pre-order some that I’ve been wanting (Fairest, The Darkest Part of the Forest, Fangirl Special Edition, A Court of Thorns and Roses, etc…)
Did you receive any books this week? Let me know in the comments!
What a gorgeous edition of Eleanor & Park! I’m glad that you received some Christmas books. I’ve received some from my sister! 🙂
Thank you! I was so happy to have found it!
I gifted myself some books too! Hey, we deserve it 😀
Hope you enjoy your new books! Merry Christmas! 😀
I definitely believe in gifting yourself something! Hope you had a great holiday!
The Storyteller is fabulous! One of Picoult’s best in my opinion!! R x
I haven’t read anything by her in years (though I used to read everything she writes) so I’m excited for this…I also have a copy of Lone Wolf that I need to get to!
I quite enjoyed Lone Wolf too, it didn’t blow me away, but it was an interesting read! I’ve never rated her below 3/5 so far. I took a break from her stuff for a while, but when The Storyteller came out I jumped on it, and I’m so glad I did! Get tissues ready!! R x
Oh that copy of Eleanor and Park is beautiful!!! I want it!!!
OMG what a GOREOUS haul!! I adore Pusheen too ♥ just seeing that fluffy little ball of fun makes me smile 😀 I also got BLLB over the holidays and I CANNOT wait to dive in!! And yay Eleanor & Park – I still need to get my hands on that one myself. I hope you LOVE all of these!! Happy reading ♥
I’m such a cat person so this book was perfect for me! (And who doesn’t like Pusheen!?)
