Posted April 20, 2015 in Uncategorized / 15 Comments

Hello lovely followers! I’m coming to you today with a bit of a major announcement regarding the future of my blog, Girl in the Pages (girlinthepages.com). I’m going to be moving from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress.org site. My URL (girlinthepages.com) will stay the same! Why? I’ve loved my time at wordpress.com for the past 15 months book blogging and it’s helped me really grow my audience and content. It was a fantastic place to start my blog. At this time I feel like I’m ready to move to wordpress.org where I have more control over customizing my blog, using […]

Pardon the Dust!

As you may have noticed, some changes have been taking place! Since the one year anniversary of my blog I have been wanting to spruce up my images and branding, and I was recently inspired by Alicia over at A Kernel of Nonsense to use the spring season as an excuse to do some “spring cleaning” around my blog. My header has changed and I have a new button image to match (find it in my sidebar!) and I’ll be slowly changing some of my older graphics to match the new theme. Thanks so much for the understanding of the […]

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc! Bought: So I actually ordered this paperback edition from Amazon in mid-July but it took over a month to ship, and it FINALLY arrived at my house this week! I’m excited to be participating in The Book Blogger Test today! A big thanks to Moonglint at A Kernel of Nonsense for tagging me! What are your top three book pet hates? 1) When the cover design changes midway through a series! I can’t stand not having matching copies! 2) Cracked spines, dog eared pages, etc. I am one of those neurotic readers and I get really frazzled if my books are in less than pristine condition (the exception are my Harry Potter paperbacks, which are cracked and bent and manhandled because I’ve read them so much. Luckily, I got […]
