2022 Releases I Didn’t Get To That I Most Want to Read

Every year there’s inevitably the titles that we as reader’s don’t get to despite our excitement and best intentions. This year I had more books on my yearly TBR shelf than ever, yet read less books than normal. As you can imagine, this has led to a LOT of books from 2022 that I still really want to get to! I’ve rounded up the top ten releases from 2022 that I want to make a priority to read by the end of 2023, and will do a check in post at the end of next year to see how I […]

Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2022

I always LOVE making and reading upcoming releases lists at the beginning of each year, and 2022 in particular I’ve found SO MANY titles I’m excited for (my 2022 Releases shelf on Goodreads has 100+ books already!) I definitely see that I’m moving away from YA titles as my “most anticipated” books, and leaning more into romance and women’s fiction. I’m really excited for these titles and honestly a lot more too! Running Wild | January 25th | I am OBSESSED with K.A.Tucker’s The Simple Wild series, and I can’t wait to read this spin-off focusing on one of the […]

Looking Back on My Most Anticipated Reads of 2021 | How Did I Do?

Some of my favorite types of posts to write are ones where I’m listing my most anticipated books of the upcoming year. I thought it would be fun to look back on the reads that were at the forefront of my radar for 2021 and see how many I read, and overall what I thought of them! January-June 2021 Releases I Was Most Excited For Number of Books Read: 7/8 (All but Luck of the Titanic…not too bad!) Ratings: 5 Stars: Chain of Iron, The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba 4 Stars: The Project, A Court of Silver Flames, Good […]

Top 5 Books of 2021 So Far

Top 5 Books of 2021 So Far

I honestly can’t believe we’re at the halfway point of 2021…while 2020 felt as though it was the never-ending year, this year is FLYING by. I haven’t read quite as much as I hoped too (although I’m not too behind…as of now I’m only 5 books behind on my Goodreads reading goal) I still wanted to round up my top 5 favorite reads of 2021 so far. It will be interesting to revisit this list at the end of the year and see if my choices have changed! Devil in Winter | Read January 2021 | I started off the […]

A Little Life Update

A Little Life Update

I’ve thought about writing this post at least a half dozen times. There’s a lot I want to say…but also not that much at the same time? I’ve been a little quiet here this year and I wanted to provide a few life updates that have been taking up some of my time away from this space: I’ve picked up some other hobbies. I’ve really gotten back into makeup and have been spending a lot of time watching beauty Youtube, buying and testing new products, and starting my Youtube channel (which will be a blend of beauty + bookish content). […]

Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2021

One of my favorite aspects of book blogging is making lists, especially of my anticipated upcoming releases! Today I’ve rounded up the top 8 books I’m most excited for that are releasing in the second half of 2021 (you can see my picks for the first half of 2021 here!) I’m also linking up with Top Ten Tuesday for this week’s post too! How Moon Fuentez Fell In Love With the Universe (August) | I am always trying to read more books with Latinx protagonists and I’m interested to see how this novel incorporates influencer culture. Also, I LOVE the […]

March 2021 TBR

I’ve made a lot of reading resolutions, and one of them is to be better about cultivating a monthly TBR. I know so many bloggers do beginning of the month TBR posts and I always LOVE reading them, so I’ve decided to post my own as well! I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR. Reading Progress Prior To This Month: 11/75 Books Read Library A Vow So Bold and Deadly | This is definitely the month of EXCELLENT library holds coming […]

What’s On My Library List [5]: We’re Still Social Distancing…

What’s On My Library List is an original feature I started to highlight some of my most anticipated reads I have on hold through my local library that I am eagerly waiting for! So I went back through my blog archives to determine when the last time I did a post in this series was, and it was in March 2020 and I talked about how we had just recently entered “shelter-in-place” due to COVID and how I was looking forward to getting more reading done since I had been recently distracted due to the pandemic…ha…hahaha…if I had only known […]

Starting My Youtube Journey

Starting My Youtube Journey

While 2021 has been a challenging year already, I decided it was the perfect time to finally dive into the world of Youtube. I’ve been interested in potentially dabbling in Youtube for a while now, however it always seemed so intimidating- the equipment, the editing, learning the algorithm, etc. However, I’ve been watching more Youtube than ever before the past year since we’ve been in lock down due to COVID, and since it seems like I’m going to be stuck in the house until at least this summer (if not the end of the year) I decided to take the […]

I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR.
