About

Hi! I’m Cristina! A working professional by day and voracious reader and blogger by night, I live on the gorgeous West Coast with my husband and my cats. I have an addiction to all things young adult, colorful makeup, Sprinkles cupcakes, and anything that involves glitter. The only thing that rivals my overflowing bookshelves is my overflowing closet. When I’m not reading, you can usually find me at a Disney theme park or a book festival.

I graduated summa cum laude in 2014 with a B.A. in English Literature and Religious Studies, and my passion for reading and writing has extended past graduation. As a result, I started this blog my senior year of college as an avenue to keep writing and creating. I’ve been blogging for over six years now, and have only grown to love and thrive in the incredible blogging community.

Today you’ll find a mixture of all the things I love in life, including books, beauty, travel, lifestyle, and more!

Love Story

Max and I met in 2007 through mutual friends and blossomed our relationship over AIM and Myspace (a true millennial romance). We’ve pretty much been together ever since, and I can’t imagine my life without him. We married on June 6th, 2019 in the most amazing ceremony surrounded by our family and friends. Max will often make appearances here on the blog, and he’s the photographer behind much of my content!

  1. Hi Christina ๐Ÿ™‚

As I scrolled down this page to leave a comment, I took notice that you have already been nominated for One Lovely Blog Award, but I felt the need to nominate you again, because the truth is, your blog is worthy of another shout out!

Please know that you are not obligated to respond or do anything by any means, I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I think your blog is quite lovely <3

    • Thank you so much for thinking of me! I really appreciate the re-nomination, and if I don’t have time to participate again I will be sure to link back to you on my original award post! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hey Cristina! I came across your blog while going through some of the HP stuff. Your blog is amazing! And you do so deserve all those awards. I am pretty new to the blogging world and I have no idea what all the blog awards are and how you nominate anyone but if I did I would definitely have nominated yours. Somehow, atleast looking at your blog, I think your are similar to me just a younger version, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyways I look forward to read your posts and it was a pleasure visiting your blog. All the best!

    • Thank you so much! It means a lot to me when people enjoy my content and take the time to reach out! I hope your blogging experience has been good so far- I’ve found it to be a wonderful and supportive community which has really kept me motivated to continue blogging consistently! All the best on your blogging journey! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hey! I wanted to let you know that I’m going to start participating in your Sunday Funday feature (though I’m not sure I’ll get one up every week). Is it cool if I make my own graphic for my posts? (of course it will say hosted by Girl in the Pages) I’ll be sure to link back to you also. It looks like a fun feature ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Cristina!

This is kind of a weird question, but how do you like your theme? I’m looking for a new one (the creator of my theme updated it today and changed the WHOLE thing…and gave it way fewer options). I really like the way yours is structured, and the demo on Nose Graze looks like I could customize the style to fit my needs. Could you give me any insight on how easy it is to install/use/change? Have you used the support at all? Any info you could give me would be awesome. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I’m glad you asked, because I love talking about my theme because it was one of the aspects about moving to self hosting that I really tortured myself over (I had only been using wp.com’s limited free themes so I was a tad nervous about customizing my theme). I played with the demo on Nose Graze for a while and saw that it looked like a good fit for me, and it’s not kidding when it talks about being customizable-there’s SO many things to customize, I know I’ve barely scratched the surface with what I’ve done. I didn’t have to install it myself because I went with Nose Graze hosting when I switched to being self-hosted so it came pre-installed and included with my hosting fee, but I found it pretty straightforward to use and that support documentation to be really helpful. I like a cleaner, simpler look but I know a lot of people who use the theme for more intricate looks as well, it can really be used no matter what your preferences are. There’s SO many things you can do to it, right down to changing every little font aspect to determining the exact width of your widget borders (there’s also a lot of options for how you can structure the blog formatting itself, in terms of how many columns of posts, widgets on the sidebars, headers, footers, etc). I’ve used the support a few times and Ashley at Nose Graze is REALLY great at getting back to you in a timely manner and helping you fix/investigate/give advice on whatever you may need, even if it’s small. I HIGHLY recommend it! Feel free to ask me any other questions regarding the theme if you have them ๐Ÿ™‚
