I’ve made a lot of reading resolutions, and one of them is to be better about cultivating a monthly TBR. I know so many bloggers do beginning of the month TBR posts and I always LOVE reading them, so I’ve decided to post my own as well! I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR.
Reading Progress Prior To This Month: 6/75 Books Read
I decided to go with a manageable Goodreads goal for 2021 after having to lower my goal 3 times in 2020 (oops). 75 is really my sweet spot so it should allow me to focus on other things (including a new hobby I’m really excited about!) I also foresee a lot more adult novels for me in 2021, as I’ve been struggling a bit with YA lately.
Library
Scandal in Spring // I’ve been obsessed with regency romance ever since binging Bridgerton over the holidays and after taking to Instagram asking for recommendations I decided to start my historical romance journey with The Wallflowers series by Lisa Kleypas. I have become addicted to the series and binged the first three last month and I’m simultaneously excited and sad to wrap up the series with Daisy’s story!
Again the Magic // A bonus for my Wallflowers obsession, this is a prequel novel so I don’t have to give up the world quite yet!
A Vow So Bold and Deadly // While I’m excited for this book I’m a little hesitant because I thought the first two were ok but didn’t blow me away, and as I mentioned above I’ve been struggling with YA lately. However, I vaguely remember the last book ending on a cliffhanger so hopefully this one is fast paced!
Owned
A Court of Frost and Starlight // Rereading this one to prep for A Court of Silver Flames!
Courting Darkness // I really enjoyed the initial His Fair Assassin’s series and fell behind to getting around to the new spinoff series. I’d like to read a bit more fantasy this year (though I say that every year, lol) and thought starting out with a characters I know I enjoy is a good start!
For Review
Yolk // In my experience Mary H.K. Choi’s books tend to trend more on the “new adult” feeling side (despite being marketed as YA). This one features a protagonist who’s in fashion school which is a premise I haven’t read about before but that I am excited for!
What books are you your TBR for February? Let me know in the comments!
Great TBR! I’m hoping to get to A Vow So Bold And Deadly soon as well. Happy reading!
Thank you so much! I haven’t gotten to A Vow So Bold and Deadly but hopefully will soon!
I still haven’t read Courting Darkness either, even though I reread His Fair Assassin series before it came out. An epic fail. I really need to pick up Mary H.K. Choi’s books this year. Hope you enjoy all these!
Thank you! I think you will really enjoy Choi’s books!
