Monthly TBR Plan: September 2019

Posted September 4, 2019 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Features, TBR / 4 Comments

I’ve made a lot of reading resolutions, and one of them is to be better about cultivating a monthly TBR. I know so many bloggers do beginning of the month TBR posts and I always LOVE reading them, so I’ve decided to post my own as well! I will include my physical, e-book, and ARC TBRs as well as a status update of where I am prior to starting my upcoming month’s TBR.

Reading Progress Prior To This Month: 40/60* Books Read

*So I’ll admit, I did it- I lowered my Goodreads challenge from 70 to 60. I’m sort of ashamed of myself, but also sort of relieved- I’ve had a LOT going on this year and I was tired of the stress of always feeling behind on my Goodreads goal. Ever since I’ve started blogging I’ve read more and more books every single year, so this is a bit of a disappointment but I’ve also come to realize that I don’t want to not enjoy life stages/events because I’m feeling guilty that I’m not reading. So I’m hoping to go into the fall with more grace for myself and if my reading picks up maybe I’ll up my goal back up to 70!

September’s focus is really about focusing on some NetGalley ARCs that I want to read!

For Review

Dear Haiti, Love Alaine // This novel was one of my most anticipated ARCs that I picked up at ALA Midwinter this year. I love the stunning cover and I’m really excited for the abroad setting! I have a feeling it’s going to be the perfect end of summer read!

No Judgements // Literally SCREAMED when I got approved for Meg Cabot’s new adult novel on NetGalley. I ADORE Meg Cabot’s novels and I really don’t even know what this is about but I DON’T CARE I know I’ll love it!

Twice in a Blue Moon // I have been extraordinarily blessed lately to be approved for some Christina Lauren ARCs this year and I’m really excited for this one! I love the crescent moon on the cover, and I love the premise that the protagonist is the secret daughter of a celebrity! It also seems like it’s going to be a second chance love story!

On the Corner of Love and Hate // I love small town romance novels and it looks like this one also has a dash of politics as well!

Library

The Downstairs Girl // I really like Stacey Lee and I loved Outrun the Moon so I’m excited to read another historical fiction novel by her! I’m also intrigued by the protagonist moonlighting as an advice columnist and I’m excited for the Atlanta setting as well!

Owned

Bridal Boot Camp // I purchased this short novella that’s a primer for Meg Cabot’s No Judgements that I have an ARC of!

Are any of these on your TBR? What’s your most anticipated book for September? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m falling behind on my reading challenge too, so don’t feel bad! Just enjoy reading the books you can get to. 🙂 I would have SOBBED if I got approved for Meg Cabot’s new book. I hope you love it!
