So it’s been a few months since I did a month in review post (since February, actually) however things have been such a whirlwind that it never really felt like the right time to sit down and recap my monthly happenings. With May signaling the end of the spring months and the start of summer, I decided it was the perfect time to jump back on the month in review bandwagon- and boy was this spring a RIDE.
May pretty much immediately started with Max and I driving back from YallWest and then the following day my MOST ANTICIPATED book of 2017 was released, so you know, goodbye all productivity. ACOWAR took up most of my life the first week of May but it was so, so worth it. Then less than two weeks later I was back in SoCal for the Tinkerbell half marathon weekend at Disneyland! I ran the 5K, which was the first race I’ve ever seriously trained for, and I was really happy with my time! I then spent the weekend playing in Disneyland (again, that #annualpassholderlife though) and came back to real life and jumped into some crazy times with work. Then, at the end of the month I found out I received a promotion I had been interviewing for at work and I could not be more ecstatic! So obviously I then spent the rest of the month starting to transition into my new role and start this new chapter in my life and career!

How has 2017 treated you so far? Have you made good progress on your 2017 reading goals? What are you most looking forward to this summer Let me know in the comments!
That Disney photo with the ferris wheel and the rainbow lights / water is STUNNING. It makes me want to plan a trip back there soon!
Thank you! 🙂 One of the reasons I love doing the Disney runs is getting a chance to be in the parks super early in the morning with less crowds so it makes taking pictures like this possible!
Sounds like a great May! Congrats on the promotion! I need to read Alex Approximately at some point…
Have you had a chance to read it yet? It’s really good!
I haven’t yet, but I’ve seen a ton of reviews at this point and I think every single one has been positive! Which just reinforces that I need to get to it, and soon. 🙂
I also read ACOWAR in May (which was ok, sadly wasn’t the hugest fan!) and I Believe In A Thing Called Love (which was so amazing oh my god!). And congrats on the promotion, that’s so cool! Looks like you had an awesome reading month!
Thank you, Anisha! ACOWAR wasn’t my IDEAL end to the series either, but I still enjoyed it (though nothing will ever top ACOMAF in my mind!)
Congratulations for the marathon and the promotion Cristina! Have an amazing June! 😀
Thanks Tasya! June was pretty great for me, I hope it was for you too!
Wow it does sound like you had a busy month! That’s so cool that you ran a 5K! I’ve never done that. And congrats on the promotion!
Thank you, Kristen! It was the first 5K that I’ve ever trained for (I’ve done some 5K walks for charity but never ran one before) and it was really rewarding!
