Books I Read This Month:
Wow, I have to say I read a LOT of books this month, considering October is the busiest month of the year for me at work! I think I was using reading as a way to relax quite a bit. I’d come home from work, exercise, read, sleep, repeat. I’ve found myself reading quite a few contemporaries lately, so I’m hoping to squeeze in more thrillers before the end of the year!

Least Favorite Book Read This Month: The Lovely Reckless by Kami Garcia. This book was had a lot of clichés that I was unable to look past.
Book that Most Surprised Me This Month: How to Hang a Witch was really enjoyable despite the fact that I saw a lot of mixed reviews for it prior to reading!

Personal Updates:
Like I mentioned earlier, October was a bit of a blur with a LOT of the time spent working. However, Max and I managed to squeeze in a few fun things too. We’ve been binge-watching a lot of shows recently, including Gilmore Girls (have to get ready for the Netflix special!) and the Netflix original series The Crown (we’re both huge fans of British history so this is right up our alley!) We celebrated Hallween weekend by going to a party at one of our friend’s houses on Saturday (Max was Hercules, I was Britney circa the Hit Me Baby One More Time Video) and on Monday we passed out Halloween candy to trick or treaters. Also, in news that’s probably not excited to anyone but myself, Max and I bought a food processor at Costco (these holiday deals that are starting to come out are great!) and we’re really excited to start making more of our own foods. November is going to be the month where all of the fun holiday stuff really kicks off, and where I start frantically trying to finish my end of the year priority TBR as well as trying to catch up on all of the reviews I neglected to write in 2016. Can you guys believe this year is almost OVER?!

Oh you read almost all the books I’ve wanted to read. I’ve been waiting to see if the library will get The Lovely Reckless because I’ve heard such mix things about it. It sounds like October was a busy month! I hope November calms down for you. I still can’t believe that the year is almost over. I still have so many books on my TBR, I need to get to. I’m hoping to get to them soon as well.
November was pretty crazy as well but I think I may FINALLY get a bit of a break in December, with the holidays and all! 2016 has been such a crazy, mixed year that I am pretty ready for it to be over, TBH, plus SO MANY 2017 releases I’m already anticipating. But then there’s that lingering guilt of all of the 2016 reads (especially the ones that I purchased) that I haven’t gotten to yet…
