In Which I Somehow Acquired ALL the Books

Posted May 8, 2016 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Book Hauls / 16 Comments

I don’t usually do “haul” posts because I’m usually pretty disciplined with my book buying (for a book blogger, at least). I try to limit myself to no more than 1 book per week, which averages out to 4 books per month or $40 a month spent on books, which I think is *fairly* reasonable. However, over the past 4 weeks I’ve acquired 20 books (thank you, YALLWEST) and I feel like I’ve only shared snippets of those purchases/gifts/acquisitions here and there. I wanted to put them all in one place (and perhaps in doing so, convince myself I don’t need to buy another book for a good two years…but we all know how that goes).

  1. Wow that looks really heavy XD I mean, 20 books, really? I see some amazing titles there, like The Loose Ends List and Bright Smoke, Cold Fire. I hope you’ll enjoy reading them all!

  2. I don’t do a lot of haul posts either! I also am pretty strict with book buying. Last month was totally an exception, plus I have a few preorders this month too lol. I usually get away with spending very little on books because my shelf space is so limited! Great haul from the festival! Still so jealous

    • AH I’M SORRY I DON’T KNOW WHY YOUR COMMENT WENT INTO MY MODERATION QUEUE. But yeah, I really try not to buy too many books at a time because SHELF SPACE. Also the guilt of my TBR pile that I physically own being SO huge. I will admit I probably definitely buy more books now since starting to blog and especially since getting more active on instagram XD

  3. Wow, these are like the best books ever all in one haul! I definitely am not blaming you for getting this many books because I either bought or will buy most of them myself too. Especially the ARCs you got at YALLWest! So jealous! Enjoy them 🙂

  4. How awesome, Cristina! I’ve never been to YALLWest, but I should really look into it more. I believe it’s only a couple of hours from where I live. So close, yet so far away! I’m drooling over your copy of Bright Smoke, Cold Fire. So pretty. Hope you enjoy all your new books!

    • You should totally go! I would love to meet up with you…meeting up with other bloggers and people involved with the community is really one of the best parts! It’s also really grown a lot in just two years, so I bet next year will be even more amazing! Let me know if you decide to go 🙂

  5. SO MANY PRETTIES! Really want to read Rosamund’s, Kiera’s came today (preorder love) and “My Lady Jane” so intrigues me! Hope that one is good. 🙂

  6. I love book haul posts 😀 It’s always fun to see what people managed to snag, whether it’s stuff they bought, borrowed, got as presents or something else! Loved seeing your full haul, and I definitely think you’ve got solid reading ahead of you (if you haven’t read most of them already).

    • Thank you, Alexa! Book haul books are definitely so much fun (and visually pleasing!) to read! I am slowly making my way through these (there are never enough hours in the day!) and there are some incredible reads in store (Heartless!!!)
