Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!
So this week I ended up with a bit of an unexpected mini haul! My boyfriend found a bag of books at his office abandoned by some co-workers who had attended ALA midwinter. Upon noting that they were YA and that no one else wanted them, he was able to give them to me! I’m super excited about All The Bright Places (the cover under the book jacket is GORGEOUS) and Even When You Lie to Me. I’ve heard mixed things about We All Looked Up and mainly positive things about The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B (which I for some reason thought was a middle grade novel).
I’ll probably be adding even more books to my shelves before the week’s end because I have a few Barnes & Noble coupons (I’m hoping to pick up Dreamland by Sarah Dessen).
Did you add anything new to your shelves this week? Have you ever happened across free books in random or strange ways? Let me know in the comments!
All The Bright Places and We All Looked Up Sound Interesting 🙂
I’ve heard All The Bright Places really gets everyone pretty emotional! We’ll see if it does me- I didn’t cry at all during The Fault in Our Stars!
ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES was such an amazing book! And I have THE UNLIKELY HERO OF ROOM 13B–can’t wait to start that. Great haul and happy reading 😀
I feel like Unlikely Hero is a super underrated read, because I rarely hear about it but when I do it gets ALL THE GOOD PRAISE. 😀
Yay for unexpected mini hauls!! That is very cool. I have All the Bright Places and can’t wait to read it because I have heard so many great things. Hope you enjoy them all!
Thank you! It was literally jumping up in down when I got a text from my bf asking me if I wanted these books that had been abandoned, hahaha
All the Bright Places and We All Looked Up are recent purchases by me as well, in fact, I’m in the midst of writing up a haul post about them! Room 13B is also on my wishlist after Paper Fury’s review. 🙂
Wicked luck to come across some abandoned and unwanted books, score!
As usual, we’re always so similar!
Ha! What good luck to come across abandoned and unwanted books. I wasn’t overly keen on We All Looked Up but the others look brilliant. I enjoyed All The Bright Places! Enjoy 🙂
I’ve heard really mixed things about We All Looked Up, but everyone raves about All the Bright Places!
I hope you enjoy All the Bright Places, I absolutely ADORED it. Also, The Unlikely Hero is AMAZING. I’ve heard pretty good things about We All Looked Up. Excited to see what you think of it! 🙂

I feel like The Unlikely Hero isn’t getting the hype it deserves, because everyone I know says it’s amazing if they’ve read it!
What a nice little surprise! 😀
Great haul this week. All the Bright Places and Even When You Lie to Me are two that I really want to read. I’ll definitely be looking forward to your thoughts on them!

Thank you! I think I’m almost scared to read All The Bright Places because of the high expectations and I think the ending may have been spoiled for me…
