Bout of Books 13: Participation and Goals!

Posted May 4, 2015 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Challenges, Readalongs/Readathons / 9 Comments

BoB13-200x200This is my second time participating in a Bout of Books read-a-thon, a wonderfully low-pressure week where readers and bloggers alike set reading goals and update each other on their progress! I participated in Bout of Books 11 and found that it really helped me be successful in knocking books off of my TBR. Seeing as I have quite a few books coming from pre-orders and ARCs to get through, May is the perfect month for a read-a-thon!

The Official Purpose

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

My Goals for the Bout of Books Week:

-Read at least 3 books

-Of these books, 1 must be a May release and 1 must be an ARC

-Write and schedule reviews for all books read

-Catch up on all reviews that need to be written

Potential TBR:

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski

I’ll have an updates post that I’ll add to throughout the week to track my progress! Are you participating? If so, what are your goals?

  1. I am working on my Bout of Books sign-up post! I am super excited! I love all the reading and the community and mini challenges. I pretty much love everything to do with Bout of Books. 🙂

  2. Yay! Another participant! 😀 I will also be participating. (LOL, you know that already.) The books on your potential TBR look great! Let me know how The Heir goes for you though. I have been dying to read it but haven’t had the chance to go out and get it. 🙁 I wish you luck in this read-a-thon!
