The lovely Nirvana over at Nirvana’s Pocketful tagged me last month to do the TBR Tag. Although I’m just now getting around to it, it works out perfectly because with the beginning of the new year I’ve been doing more of an inventory of my TBR!
How do you keep track of your TBR pile?
Goodreads is the easiest way to keep track of everything! Of the physical books I own but need to read, I place them horizontally on my bookshelf so I know that they haven’t been read yet!
Is your TBR mostly print or e-books?
Mostly print! I currently own 33 books on my TBR that I’ve yet to read, but only 3 purchased e-books waiting for me as well as 2 electronic ARCs.
How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
If it’s a library book with a looming due date it gets first priority. After that I go to my bokshelf and choose a book I own and need to read based on my mood. If I’m looking to order books I’ll usually pull up my Goodreads TBR shelf and compare it to book prices online, and if one is a highly anticipated new release for me or on promotion for a good deal, then I’ll purchase those first.
A book that has been on your TBR the longest?
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I started it when I was a freshman in high school but never got past the first few chapters!
A book you recently added to your TBR?
Goodreads TBR: I Was Here by Gayle Forman
E-Book TBR: Losing It by Cora Carmack
Physical TBR: Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover?
The Heir by Kiera Cass. I thought The Selection series was OK but I didn’t know how I felt about the spinoff series…and then I saw the cover…and then I caved and immediately added it to my TBR!
A book on your TBR you never plan on reading?
I don’t like this question because I don’t want to say I’ll NEVER read something if it’s on my TBR! But I’ll admit there are books that are less likely that I’ll get to within the next few years (because of length, time, etc). I’m going to have to say Gone With the Wind…I’d like to read it but I haven’t found quite the right time to invest myself in it!
An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited to read?
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas! I had mixed feelings about Throne of Glass but there are so many things this book has going for it: 1) It’s NA 2) It’s a Beauty and the Beast Retelling and 3) The COVER. I have been seeping with jealousy seeing all of the book bloggers with beautiful ARCs of this title!
Number of books in your TBR?
Physical Copies that I Own: 33
E-books that I Own: 3
ARCs: 2
Overall books I wish to read (according to Goodreads): 285!
Who I’m Tagging:
Olivia @ Brewing Up Books
Kenzie @ Bookish Things and Tea
Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense
Amber @ YA Indulgences
Safa @ Books Over People
(No pressure to those nominated, and I apologize if you’ve already been tagged before!)
Feel free to participate even if I didn’t tag you, and be sure to link me back to your posts so I can check them out!
Jane Eyre seemed like such a daunting book before I began, but when I got into it I actually loved it! I hope you get the chance to give it another go
I’ve actually heard it’s a really good read! I think at that time I was intimidated by the size!
I have theee craziest ARC-envy about ACOTAR. Like I can’t even look at people’s pictures. I want it so badddddd
I know! And it seems like so many people have it and everyone is reading it but me!
Wohoo. this seems like a really cool tag but I’m afraid to do it :/ Toooo many books.
Haha I’ve definitely added more since the holidays!

Thanks for the nomination! I spent a good 2 hours working on this post because I was so indecisive about all of the questions!
