Stacking the Shelves [15]

Posted January 3, 2015 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Stacking the Shelves, Weekly Features/Memes / 13 Comments

STSnewStacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!

Purchased:

I received some iTunes giftcards for Christmas so I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to download books through the iBooks app to read on my iPad (which is use instead of a traditional Kindle/Nook).

losingitnightofcakeandpuppetsI’m really excited that I picked both of these up for $1.99 each! Both are titles that I’ve been wanting to read and neither is very long, which I think will be good for allowing me to adjust to reading ebooks on a tablet screen (it just makes my eyes so tired sometimes…).

I’ve been trying to stay away from the library recently in order to get through my physical TBR that I already own, combined with the books I received for Christmas and will receive for my birthday (which is this coming week!)

Do your eyes get tired when reading ebooks? Do you read via an iPad or an actual e-reader? I’m curious to know what’s the best/most comfortable! Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m most comfortable reading on my nook because it has a night mode, I can keep the brightness low, and change the font size to be comfortable on my eyes. I just finished Losing it and it was good! I saw the author at a book festival, so I really wanted to give her a try and don’t regret it!

      • They are kind of weird but you get used to them quickly, or at least I did. I’d rather have a traditional books but it’s nice to be able to download them and have them right away ^_^

  2. I loved Losing It! It’s one of those rare NA books that are actually very good.

And my eyes are constantly tired when I use my Kindle! I typically try to read more physical books than ebooks because of it.
