Stacking the Shelves [10]

Posted October 11, 2014 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Stacking the Shelves, Weekly Features/Memes / 10 Comments

STSnewStacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!

Borrowed:

photo-1I had great luck at the library this week! My hold of Rainbow Rowell’s Landline came in, and I stumbled across Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L Armentrout (I’ve always wanted to read something besides her Lux series, which I love). Liv, Forever looked interesting (I like my contemporary with a bit of paranormal, and this one has a ghost) and I just finished The Nightmare Affair, so I was excited to find its sequel so quickly.

E-books:

unenchanted

So I have an iPad but have under-utilized as far as e-books are concerned. Yesterday I happily found they were offering some free YA e-books, so I downloaded Pretty Little Liars (which I’ve read, but wasn’t going to pass up the chance to have my own copy of) and Unenchanted, which I had never heard of but looked interesting (Any mention of the Brothers Grimm and I’m usually hooked). I haven’t read anything by this author yet so I have no idea what to expect.

What did you add to your shelves this week? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great haul this week. Don’t Look Back is a book I have been meaning to read since it came out and just still haven’t found the time for. I have literally heard nothing but good things, so I really should hurry up and get to it. I hope you enjoy your reads this week 🙂 Here’s my STS.

  2. Unenchanted looks good, but I’m the opposite of you, I’m always hesitant to read retellings. Though lately several of them have pleasantly surprised me. I got the Blood of Olympus this week and I won a book on a contest, but I haven’t gotten it yet, so I’m not counting that. (Bird in hand, counting chickens before they’re hatched, so many sayings telling me not to.)
