Stacking the Shelves [9]

Posted September 12, 2014 by Cristina (Girl in the Pages) in Stacking the Shelves, Weekly Features/Memes / 10 Comments

STSnewStacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!

This week was my anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend. After several years together he’s come to be deeply familiar with my love for books, so he decided to gift me some titles I’ve been wanting in honor of the occasion!

photoIsn’t this gift wrapping just adorable?

photo 1 Four new titles!

photo 2I’m really excited for Throne of Glass and Pivot Point! They’re both series I’ve yet to start and have seen many 5 star reviews for!

photo 3I’m excited for these Selection novellas as I’m in the middle of the series, and I’m slowly collecting the re-released Sailor Moon mangas (and Saturn is my favorite!)

Did you add any new titles to your shelves this week?

  1. Congratulations on the anniversary! 🙂 Great picks! I love Sailor Moon. I only have the first three manga though. *sigh*

I’ve been wanting to read Pivot Point, along with the rest of Kasie West’s work. I’ve also heard good things about the Throne of Glass series.

I didn’t add anything new to my shelve this week. Oh wait, actually I received an ARC copy of Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang Monday that I won in a giveaway. 🙂 Other than that, I just made a slightly big book haul online tonight which I can’t wait to come in.

      • I know, I’m so ecstatic about the book. I’ve been interested in it for a couple months so when I found out I won it, I was like “Oh my gosh. Yay!”.

Sailor Moon is so fantastic. The manga covers are so gorgeous! I was happy to hear it was being re-released to. Have you watched the new anime Sailor Moon Crystal?

    • I’ve heard so many good things about it, but I was wary of it being too dense of fantasy for me! I’m definitely excited to give it a shot, I haven’t seen anyone disappointed by it so far!
