Today is my first time participating in the weekly meme hosted over at Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share the books that they’ve added to their shelves this week, whether borrowed, bought, virtual, physical, etc!
Borrowed from my Local Library:
I started Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour first since I’ve seen so many bloggers freaking out over Morgan Matson’s newest book Second Chance Summer. This is my first read by Matson and I’m finding her style is easy to get into and comfortable, and listening to the narration is like chatting with a good friend.
An Abundance of Katherines is my first read by John Green, and the only one that my library ever seems to have in stock. I’ve seen so much hype over The Fault in Our Stars that I’ll admit, I have high expectations for Green, and am wondering if I’ll find it lackluster, which often happens with books/authors that are over-hyped. Yet I admit that I really love the cover, because I have some weird OCD with staring at things that are arranged in rainbow order. Seriously, if there is something that can be arranged in the red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple spectrum, I will do it. Without asking.
I received the Art of Arranging Flowers as a free ARC e-book via NetGalley. It seemed like it would be an easy summer/beach read. I also like adding some adult fiction to my largely YA reading pile.
Have you read any of the above titles or added them to your TBR shelf lately? It’s my first time reading any of these authors, any thoughts on Green or Matson? Tell me in the comments!
