Sundays In Bed with a Book is a weekly feature hosted by Midnight Book Girl that I am now participating in!
This Sunday comes at the end of a busy, busy week collecting sources for the annotated bibliography for my English thesis. I’ve managed to squeeze two books in this week though, and I’m in the midst of a bit of a book hangover after reading the first two books in the series of the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Thankfully I have another book ready to start today that I picked up at my local library this week.
I’m really excited to get started on it this afternoon, it’s been years since I’ve read Laurie Halse Anderson. Alas, before I can start I’m still skimming through books for my thesis, specifically The Uses of Enchantment by Bruno Bettelheim, which is really a wonderful book that deconstructs fairy tales and their impacts and functions for the child’s mind. So I guess I really shouldn’t be complaining that I get to read such interesting texts in the name of “research.”
What are you reading this weekend?
